Next Steps – If My Case is Suitable for Public Access
Your case may qualify for Legal Aid and public funding.
If your case is suitable to proceed under the Public Access scheme then you will be sent a Client Care letter which is a contract between you and Michael. This will provide details on the work to be completed and costs.
You will be asked to provide proof of identification (such as a passport or driving license) and proof of address (such as a utility bill). This is to comply with BSB money laundering regulations. Copies will be taken and held on your file by the clerks at Red Lion Chambers.
You will be required to return the signed Client Care Letter and have settled any outstanding payment as agreed by the contract between you and Michael, before any work will be carried out on your case.
Michael will not proceed with carrying out any work on your case until all the necessary documentation is in place and the fees have been agreed.
